@snowman4839 a “grain of salt” used to be, like, a way of saying to have a bit of intelligence; so yeah it means, “use some personal judgement”

my mother in law has ms and diabetes what she does is diet (do what ever is right for you) and get out of the house even if you use a walker or a wheel chair just getting out of the house and or moving (again even an electric wheel char) is good for mind and body . she even became paralized (temporarly) and pushing her through the mall was enoughon her system to lose some weight

Advice for Nick (the swayer): Something that works for me during class presentations is pressing my thumb to each of my fingers slowly one by one. No one will notice. My problem is staring at the ceiling when I present, so it helps me to concentrate and reminds me to look forward. Hope that helps! Good luck =)

Im a teen , and i can go to sleep whenever, but i just go into my room at ten.
I usually fall asleep around 10:30 anyways because Im so tired from the day.
My adivce to you would be just go into your room and do something, or if you cant do that, ask to prove that you’ll get up fine the next day
(Say its for extra studying time)

Jeez…. 8:30?! I’m 15, and I go to bed pretty much whenever I want. Just prove to your mom that you’re responsible enough to get up and get ready in the morning without sleeping in. The 7 year old I babysit doesn’t go to bed until 9:30 :S

Dear Misty – try warm water aerobic therapy. It’s a great way to exercise without putting pressure on your joints. Also try eating 6 small meals a day with a protein packed breakast and light dinner. No eating after 8.

I’m 14 and i go to bed at like 4 am every night. Or on test nights (as in like testing the next day) like tonihgt… I got to bed around 11-12. I’ve never been to bed before 11 since the age of 13. So yes 10 is even early. but 8:30… that’s TOO early!

Nick – Alright that’s ridiculous. Try and find a precedent. Ask her when she went to bed when she was a kid or when a older brother or sister went to bed in high school. Then you can argue that you aren’t receiving equal treatment. Hope that helps. I wore my parents down with that and just going a bit past my bed time every night until I didn’t really have one. Also a great on is stay up secretly for a few months and then if she finds out, say “I’VE BEEN DOING THIS FOR MONTHS AND I’M FINE!”

@goldentapshoes33 it means “don’t take it seriously”. Don’t ask why it means that but that is what it means. :-)

@Sp0rksR0ck haha join the club! my parents don’t really have a bed time for me ever since I entered high school. I usually go to bed at like 1am 5 days a week.

Middle- and high-schoolers whose parents dont require them to be in bed before midnight on school nights are 42% more likely to be depressed than teens whose parents require a 10 p.m. or earlier bedtime. And teens who are allowed to stay up late are 30% more likely to have had suicidal thoughts in the past year. Teenagers need about nine hours of sleep. (USA Today, 6/9/09)

Misty, my family is very involved in the MS board. I suggest that you get a pool that has you swim in one spot. I know many people who have done this and they all have had MS this is one of the best ways to loose weight. or even swimming in a pool could help with your case. I hope you feel better and achieve your goal! =]
