    The step after time 11:33, why does Anand capture the Knight(on e6) with Bishop, instead of Knight (on e5) with pawn? Seems a better move!?

    @xtysonz Bxd5 is answered by Nxe5, when if dxe5 Qd4+ and regains the bishop on d5, and if Bxe6 Qxd4+ followed by fxe6 winning a pawn.

    @IDIEININIIS

    When u play professional chess and tournaments there are international notations to record games. So they are supposed to record every move they make..u can go to wikipedia and know how it is done.

    @aplum3 I think it’s because the fork wouldn’t result in gaining either rook, as Anand could simply move his rook on the left to check the king, and the only way to stop that would be to sack the queen or move the king, allowing Anand a move to get his other rook out of the way while he still had the first one in a very threatening position.

    @Nola213 i do not analyse this game, because if i would, it would be inadequate at best… why? simply because these guys have been playing chess their whole life since they were kids and their understanding of the game is so far beyond mine (and VERY far beyond jrobi’s), that trying to explain what they’re doing without actually understanding it would be big disrespect towards them. if you cannot respect human masters because you think ‘engines win anyway’, you should quit chess right now…

    why didn’t topalov move the knight to d3 forking the two rooks anytime around 12:30? Any explanation?

    Maybe someone can answer this question for me.
    I’ve never played chess competitively (i.e. no timers, no tournaments, etc) and I always see players in tournaments writing down something on a piece of paper after their moves. What are they writing down? Are they keeping track of their moves?

    right before at 15:05 when he moved the rook to e 4 could he not have moved the pawn to f-4 and then taken the knight with his rook making it impossible for the rook to be taken without sacrifice of the queen?

    Love your vids jrobi. One minor criticism though. Could you please stop say “in the position” so much? I’m truly sorry, but it was getting repetitive.

    @happytenzin Just because they choose not to play stupid openings doesn’t make their chess skills disgusting. Maybe if you were a master at chess you would understand.

    Wow. That last continuation (the game winning one) is impossible to see in time pressure. Wow.
