@halseyspartan2 Hey, Wayne was my step-dad as well for several years. We lived in Marietta with him starting from 1994 until years after 2000. How is that possible?Amanda

My mother was married to Wayne Famous about 10 years ago now. He lived with us from 1995-2002. I still talk to him quite a bit, it was great being at the concerts and growing up with him in the house.

You Make The Heat (1982) – Great Album.
She Sheila – Most popular song of their career. Big fan of Kyle Henderson (now in Blue Eyed Soul).

Back then you had bands with distinct sounds. The Producers, Adam and the Ants, Squeeze, Elvis Costello, The Police, Echo and the Bunnymen, Big Country.

Today everything sounds the same no matter what genre.

Saw them perform live back in the day. They were just as good live as they were in the studio. Great stuff.

These guys took over in my musical landscape after The Police broke up, in early 1984. I listened to them everyday. Thanks for the post! I got to meet Bryan Holmes (the drummer) at a Chicago NAMM show in 1984. He’s a very nice guy.

Legend has it that Paul McCartney heard this and said “he wished he had wrote it..” . Allegedly a lot of heavy hitters in the biz ran out and bought this record. Brian Wilson, Frankie Valli, Peter Criss, Todd Rundgren…
