@P4P4 I really cant Understand why you would write such an inrelevant Comment, maybe to get replys im not sure.
You say you can see so many Problems in Animation and in Design, i would like you to tell me where the Animation is off, and in which parts the Design is not right.
At the end of the day these guys are doing the best they can, and are pushing Blender to its limits, if you still honestly believe that this is not good, you really need to study this area a little bit more.

Sadly even if I wanted, I couldn´t have a very positive opinion. I see so many problems in animation, and a few in design, I was specting something better, maybe you should keep the visual reference of your voice actors to animate, and looks like there is extrange proportions in Sintel, I LOVE BLENDER and i would like that it was a great short, so other people got enthusiast users of blender, but being as critic as other softwares users can be, i think this is not enough convincent. Sorry

Yeah, but if we are going into something like psycho-analysis, a type of critiquing, a rather loose one at that, we can lay claim to almost anything. Which brings to mind fear based projection, and the irony it would present to a critique like yours about critics. Don’t think it’s true, don’t really follow any school of psychoanalysis myself, just saying it for point. Though I do get yours more, bullies do exist, some do it b/c they self-loathe, some are just bad people. It’s always a mix bag.

@wagawagawoo Oh yeah, I see you’re talking about textures too, yeah, no those are done with gimp, and inkscape, two other open source programs. Don’t know if they stray from those or not honestly. Quasi blender too because gimp can now interact almost dynamically with blender in its projection paint mode, you can ‘quick edit’, and ‘apply’ texture in and out as well blenders own paint mode has bettered some. Not quite ‘one’ yet but it’s awesome to see all the great work that has been implemented.

@wagawagawoo I know GIMP and Inkscape were used in Big Buck Bunny so you can bet other software was used in the making of this. It’s all open source though. Blender is good, but it can’t do everything, yet.

@Slip819 oh, i see what you mean, but “malevolent intent” can also be subconscious… you know, like bullies. It’s mostly self-hate turning into attacks. Maybe you have failed with your own project, and you’d like to show to yourself that it’s not your fault, and others fail too. Hence, you can’t allow others to be successful. Talking them down might do some black magic, then.

@Slip819 Hmm, I think you are right. It is a Blender project, and I think blender has sound capabilities.
On second thoughts though, would they do the textures and matte painting in blender too? I doubt it.
