In which Hank confronts the fact that he is getting older and, instead of accepting it, talks about ten different ways that people are proposing to extend life, possibly indefinitely. Because immortality and eternal youth are so much more appealing than reality, which is that we all get old and DIE!!! Great video bring with hitvideo.org

    oh they have telomeres that don’t die.
    it’s called cancer.
    a bit counterproductive actually.

    Horcruxes…evil, but if you have enought it could work…unless Harry Potter is around, then you’ll have to depend upon medicine and trees…

    yay for mentioning telomerase, but I do have to add that the problem with telomerase is that it’s just not being turned on in our somatic cells, just the germ line.

    You know, when it comes to telomeres, cancer cells have an unlimmited ammount … if we could reform cancer to aid humans rather than form huge clumps of cells to kill us off, we could change cancer from “a killing disease” to the “fountain of youth” … maybe

    I’d skip #7. Like most things that cause cells to act like they are younger than they really are, turning on telomerase where is doesn’t belong tends to cause cancer. And cancer sucks worse than getting old.

    @iLoVe136
    what if all the doctors drop dead? it would be bad, but its an unrealistic situation.
    and while a machine can’t repair itself (yet… nano-machines will likely change that), losing a hand isn’t a catastrophic failure, just an inconvenience to a robot.

    @pyr666 got a point but think if all the robot fixers break then who will repair them because robots are not like humans they can’t repair themselves nor heal on their own

    @ArteyLover1 Bathing with virgins does work. This method has removed 5 years off my age. It only works best provided that they are 18 years + and have a bigger spa pool and a rich dad.

    @xXclaymatorXx he’s mostly just joking… and your arrogance disgusts me. Not everyone understands the theory of relativity. So… lighten up.

    Do we not realize that the whole living forever in the form of a tree is from Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game sequel, Speaker for the Dead? Read it, it’s amazing, I’m sure all of you already have.
