@MrWindowsEssentials: The shot mechanics do not really change when you shoot a jump shot. The stroke mechanics are the same. One problem that many players experience is that they either shoot the jumper too late or too early which affect accuracy. If you shoot late the ball will often be short of the target. If early, the shot may just “take off” and be too strong. You need to release as you are reaching the top of your jump. Hope this helps.

@Bloodmyst24: Blood, your elbow “SHOULD NOT BE TUCKED IN” but allowed to hang at about a 10 degree angle. This should be a comfortable position, but don’t allow the elbow to flare outward before or during the shooting stroke. The finish is a combination of nice RELAXED WRIST and the first two fingers of the shooting hand. To PERFECT your shot, we recommend our “Form Shooting Drill” (see video). This is where you get the stroke mechanics down. Always practice this drill to excel in shooting

@Bloodmyst24: The elbow should be in, but not tucked in tight. It should be relaxed. Check out our video on the target and how to use your feet and legs. These videos also describe how to use the fingers and the wrist. Check these out and get to work on developing these skills and practice, practice, practice!

@RookieN08: Even if you are tall the flat arc limits your shooting success. But, you have to do what you have to do!

wow. this is insanely helpful O_O. I tend to just shoot with my right hand with my left hand not contributing to the shot, so i guess i’ll have to check your other videos for tips on that. However, the analogy involving the arcs and eyes was very, very helpful and insightful (or just taken for granted by most people XD). Thanks a lot for the help! :)
    DEFINITELY worth a subscription.

@RookieN08, if that is how you want to shoot, go for it. We’re just presenting the hard science behind lights out shooting. The guys that get away with low arcs have done so by practicing countless hours. Like we show in the video, you’re odds of a make are greatly increased by using the arc we suggest.

btw not everyone’s shooting arc is the same
some people shooting arc is kinda low like me,Tracy Mcgrady,Mike Bibby and others NBA players
If i try high arc, the ball will hit the back rim or air ball
if i shoot kinda low arc, it normally goes in or hit the back rim

@zero713tx: Check out our videos, especially “Set Point and the stroke.” The elbow needs to be in and you elevate it on your shooting stroke.

@ahairycow100: Hey cow, Push ups will help your strength, however your arc will result from a high release point on your shooting stroke. Take another look at this video.
