I am NOT asking ANYONE to deny their God. But were you wrong about atheists? Admit it. See what happens. Were you wrong about something to do with your religion? Admit it. See what happens. Have you defended something on YouTube or elsewhere that you no longer believe to be true but don’t know how to admit it? Take a deep breath and admit it. And see what happens. The bigger the admission the more courage it requires, but the greater the reward. This might just be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Take it, if you can. Get your self-respect back and earn the respect of others, but ONLY if you are sincere. Saying, “I was wrong” can change your life, and you, and how others see you, more than you can imagine, but you can only learn the lesson by actually saying it. This “magic” works.

@CutClip i read your point and it is valid from an agnostic point of view but at the same time there is the possibility that he has either not chosen to show himself to anybody or that he is simply incapable of showing or communicating what so ever with his “creations”, keep in mind that when you state one possibility you must also think of all others i know there are many more i am unable to touch on here, maybe more i am unable to grasp at presently.

@wakcedout the only way we can know the unknown is if God reveals it to us.
If you are agnostic you should be open to the possibility that God has revealed himself to others and that he very well might choose to reveal himself to you.
The real question is, do you really want THE TRUTH, or do you want to be like the atheist do, simply desiring the ‘subjective truth’ that works for you?

I disagree.
Even 2 year old kids have a pride issue with admitting they are wrong.
You give them some french fries, then you ask for one and they say, NO it’s mine.
My dad’s stronger than your dad.
My mom’s the best mom in the world.
Your theories are off, it’s natural for us to be prideful, it’s not so much learned or self taught.

I think you are quite speciel Phil. There are lots of speciel people. But your channel is a rare jewel in a sea of misunderstands, lies, deciet and pure insults.
I am going through all your videos and I cant help but cling to every word you say, not wanting to miss them, not only because what you say makes sense but because you do it in such a calm tone that is just enchanting.
This is my favorite video along with the 65 million years with a creationist.

@DragonRomer Ah, just a technicality but it´s not believing in one, not believing there isn´t one. There´s a slight difference in that the first one doesn´t need to be defended, the second one does in some aspects if you dig deep up.
So atheism is lack of belief. But you might already know that but just in case. Cause if you say that to a bothersome theist he will pounce on you and ask you to prove it that there is no god

These thoughts have actually passed my mind, you certainly went alot more in-dept about it. Thanks for another great vid

@wakcedout You are not an agnostic. There is no such thing as “an agnostic” in that sense. The fact that you are not sure weather or not there is a god means you obviously don’t believe there is one. That is the definition of Atheism.

This reminds me of how some people are mind-fucked in the military. When you are trained to become a leader, you are conditioned to think that confidence is more important than being correct: If, for instance, you were to be asked a question to which you gave an incorrect answer, you are discouraged from admitting to being wrong and praised for maintaining a proud composure as you stick to your answer. I’m not making this up; ask any U.S. soldier who has ever appeared before a promotion board.

It was so hard for me to tell people I no longer believed in gods or any other magical hoo-hah because I had believed it for so long. I don’t think I got any extra respect for it, but I’m glad I came out anyway.

I was never a theist. Not as a kid. Not now.

Saying “I am wrong” sounds like a nice idea, but I was always told to tell the truth:)

It’snot the same but close. I often say ‘I don’t know’. It drove my German friend mad. She told me why do you say it when you always come up with a long explanation afterwards. Well it’s kind of a national trait and a figure of speech in Estonia that means ‘let me think’. It’s good it leaves you a chance to change your mind easier.

I live by my honesty and I’m known for saying, “I was wrong” on the occasions that I still give wrong answers. This is a very powerful and fulfilling way to live.

I view reality in shades of gray. Theists see the world in stark black and white (they brag about their absolutism on Conserapedia), and can’t seem to understand the definition of the word faith. This blind absolutism reflects a lack of intellect which boggles the mind. For someone with this wiring, to say “I was wrong” about even the most insignificant item threatens to knock down their whole house of cards. We need to replace the word “faith ” with the word “absolute”.

@philhellenes damn that was deep and i made damn good sense, at times i think IDK and IWW can be synonomous with each other as well as being two totally seperate statements but both have a false fear built in of thinking everyone will laugh at you. i think as agnostic or atheist we are both willing to admit our wrongs and our lack of knowledge when the time comes for us to do so. and the theists need to learn that it is more humble to be wrong or simply not know then claim to always know.
